DEFINITELY visit Orakei Korako

We had done the usual geothermals in Rotorua and were wondering if this was doubling up and/or worth the time and money. DEFINITELY do this. It is so different, so colourful, peaceful and just yes. It wasn't busy with other tourists so plenty of opportunities for photos without people and no need to rush. It is self guided so at your own pace. We found we just stood and looked - it was just so different, beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely recommend, we found the colours were better in person than even some of the photos on their advertising material. We also found our first silver fern on the walk.
